CAMINO DE SANTIAGO

I’m going to write about our experience in the “Camino de Santiago”.

Last Friday, we went by bus from Nava de la Asuncion, Segovia towards Palas de Rei, Lugo. There, we started to walk. We walked during the afternoon and we arrived to our first hostel in Melide. We took a shower and we went to the village to eat octopus, a typical food in the region. Then, we come back to the hostel and we slept.

The second day, we get up at eight o`clock and we walked during all the morning. We arrived to Arzúa and we ate in a restaurant. We went to the village to know the place and we had dinner in the hostel.

The third day, we get up at seven o’clock, we left the hostel and we walked towards Pedrouzo. The hostel of this village was very modern. That night, we went to a restaurant to have dinner and we watched the football match between Real Madrid and Barcelona. After the match, we went to the hostel to sleep after a long day.

The fourth day, on Monday, we had breakfast in the same restaurant that we had dinner the previous day. We walked during the morning and we arrived to the last hostel in Monte do Gozo. We were very near to the final destination, Santiago de Compostela. We left the bags in the hostel and we went to a restaurant in the village. In the afternoon, we took a bus and we went to Santiago de Compostela. We visited the city and we ate an ice-cream. We also had time to go shopping. We come back to the hostel to sleep.

The last day, we left the hostel in the morning and we went to Santiago de Compostela. We visited the cathedral, we hear Mass and we saw “El Botafumeiro”. It was an exciting. We had a “Credencial del Peregrino” with the stamps of all the hostels. In Santiago, we received a certificate of our journey as pilgrims. We took the bus after we ate in a restaurant. We arrived Nava de la Asunción at night o’clock.

Halloween, also known as Halloween or All Souls Night, is a festival of Celtic origin which  celebrated internationally on the night of October 31, especially in English-speaking countries such as Canada, USA, Ireland or the United Kingdom.
The origin of Halloween can be found in the ancient Druids Ireland, in celebration of Samhain. The date  celebrates the beginning of the cold season and give the welccome  ghosts of dead relatives, returning to the world of the living to be reunited with their families.
Halloween was first celebrated in the United States, reaching to become one of the most important holidays. The day is often associated with the colors orange, black and purple. Typical activities include the famous Halloween trick or treating and costume parties, visiting haunted houses, jokes, reading scary stories and viewing of horror films.
The most famous traditions of Halloween is trick or treating. The children, dressed in their Halloween costumes, walk the neighboring houses to collect candy under the premise "trick or treating". If the candy come to your hands, all content and happy. Otherwise, it will turn to mischief.

THE SIMPSONS.

I'm going to talk about my favourite film: The Simpsons.
The Simpsons is an American animated comedy film version of the animated televisión series The Simpsons. This film was directed by David Silverman in 2007 and produced by James L. Brooks, Matt Groening, Al Jean, Mike Scully and Richard Sakai.
The characters of this film are the Simpson's family of Homer Simpson, his wife Marge, and children Bart, Lisa, and Maggie, in the town of Springfield. Other characters are Ned Flanders, Colin, Chief Wiggum...
PLOT:
Thanks to Lisa Simpson, Lake Springfield is cleaned up from the pollution that once fouled it. But when Homer, who's adopted a pig (Spider-pig) and dumps a silo  in the lake, the EPA places a large dome over Springfield, and the Simpsons family manage to escape through a sinkhole. The family flees to a better life in Alaska, but when the head of the EPA, Russ Cargill, orders the town destruction, it's up to Homer to save Springfield.
I like this film because it is interesting and very funny.
